 My Incredible Journey to Prau Mountain

Hays guy, in this chance I want to tell you about my experience when I had an outdoor travelling. I like to spend my holiday to go to outdoor place and natural place because my hobby is outdoor travelling. I can see what a wonderful world by doing that activity. When I saw beautiful scenery I can refresh my mind.  About 5 months ago, I went to Prau Mountain. It is in Dieng Wonosobo. Dieng is a place that offers wonderful scenery. It is the plateau which is located in Central Java. I went there with my friends and most of them are my senior, they are Riska, mba Isya, Ka Fajar, Ka Anggar, Ka Septian, and Ka Cahyo. We took 2 month just to plan this travelling. Oh my goodness! We went there by motorcycle. Yeah this is a challenging journey because Wonosobo is far enough from our town, Purwokerto. However, Riska and I was very enthusiast went there because we have a same desire to climb mountain up.  We gathered in Ka Fajar, and Ka septian’s boarding house first. They asked me to go there at 7 a.m. actually I did not believe that they would gather at that time. Because Riska and I feel very excited, we went to there on time at 7 a.m. Do you know what happen? If you do not know why you can guess it, because this is Indonesia! A place that a punctual person is only illusion! They were not gathering yet. I saw that ka septian and Ka fajar still set up their luggage. I felt bad mood so Riska and I decided to go back to our boarding house. I asked ka fajar to message me if we would go there and Ka Anggar has arrived to his boarding house. 1 hour, 2 hours and 3 hours later fyuuuhhh I felt bored, I ate, I slept again. Finally at 10 a.m. ka fajar sent me a message. Oh my goodness it was very terrible from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. it called “ngaret culture” yeahhh because this is Indonesia. When I arrived in ka fajar’s boarding house, they still prepared their luggage. Uuhhh I thought I wanted to burn their boarding house!

 Finally we went there at 11 a.m. it was far from my expectation that we will went there at 7 a.m. Oh my God!  Along the street I felt hot because it is 12 a.m. unfortunately when we were on the way, it was raining. We took a raincoat and drop in the gas station to prayer. We saved our luggage first because we didn’t want to have a wet luggage.  You can see my friend, Riska below, she was very careful to save the luggage. Hahaha it was very funny.

                                               

                                                                     

We continued our trip soon. We had to be careful because the road was very slippery. About 3 hours later we entered Dieng region. The scenery was very beautiful I could not stop to stare the view that is given by God. At once I thought that I wanted to have a home there. The weather is very cool, the beautiful view everywhere. It was awesome and making me drool hehehe. The weather was very cold; the palm’s Cahyo was chill. Riska tried to help him with brought the motorcycle they changed their position. I felt worry too because my motorcycle was almost stuck. I asked ka fajar to ride slowly to make it better. After struggling to pass the Dieng street, fortunately we arrived in the basecamp where a place for gathering all climbers. We arrived about at 5 p.m. and drop in the food store to eat.  Ka Cahyo was coming through, ehmm we thought he was hungry so he felt chill. After eating, Riska and I looked for a Carica that is special food gift from Dieng the taste is very unique, you have to taste it! We climbed at 6 p.m. to do magrib prayer first. Because my shoes was wet I climbed with sandals, it was sound horrible. The first climb, we have to climb the land stairs. Ka anggar was leading our group that was called “Mancing Perkara.” We felt very tired and stop for many times but we still have a spirit to go to the top of the Prau  Mountain. Along the ascending road, we met many climbers from many regions such as Solo, Yogyakarta, Cilacap, Jakarta and etc. They were very friendly and always gave us the spirit to continue our trip. There are 3 posts there and we took a rest in post 1. Along the ascending road, we tried to make jokes in order to have a cozy situation and it could make we forgot that we were tired. After passing the post 3 we had to pass the more difficult spot. The track was horrible because there were some landslides. We walked very carefully because it was dark. We helped each other to climb the hill. Finally after struggling, at about 10 p.m. we arrived on the top. We saw that the place was full of tent so we had to look for the space. We divided into 2. The man’s group was preparing our tent and the girl’s group Mba Isya, Riska and I had to cook water to make a warm drink. I felt like in the Korea because I could drink a hot water there. There was smoke when we opened our month. It had done and we had to sleep to see a sunrise tomorrow. The weather is colder than in Dieng I wanted to pee. I was brave to pee in the bushes accompanied by Riska haha oh my Goodness it was the first time to do that since I was a child I used to do that.

In the morning at 5 am, we got up to see a sunrise in the top of Prau Mountain that is called “Bukit Teletubies”  I don’t know why it is called Bukit Teletubies but I think the hill is like a hill in the Teletubies film, our favorite film when we were a child. We walked to look for the right place to see the sunrise. We did not forget to bring a camera to save our memory and to save beautiful scenery. Here ka fajar was a photographer :D

 When were there we took many pictures, we were very happy. Riska and I were very excited because that was the first time went there.

I want to show you the Bukit Teletubies. There were beautiful Daisy Flower spreading in the hill.

It was very beautiful place right? Although it is not high enough it is only 2565 under sea (mdpl) this is the one of wonderful places that I had ever visited. However we have to make the environment always clean. We don’t littering there. We don’t leave rubbish but we leave memories.

 Then, we moved to another spot. There, we could see clouds were very near with us. Hey you? Aren’t you bored seeing the clouds from the bottom? You have to try to see the clouds from the top like this

 After seeing the sunrise we felt very hungry so we cooked some meals that we had brought from home. We cooked soup and noodle to fill our stomach. We cooked it together and I liked it because that was our lovely togetherness. The taste of the soup was very weird but we enjoyed it because we were very hungry :D

After we felt satisfied we prepared to go home. The road was very harmful so we have to be careful. Ka Fajar and I were leading the group when we went to basecamp from the top of Prau Mountain.

This is the landslide. The landslide was because of heavy rain all the day every day.

In the afternoon, we arrived in the basecamp. We took a rest because most my friends were very exhausted and sleepy. They slept for a moment but paparazzi came! :D I was sneaky and took the picture.

In the evening we left Dieng. Along the street the weather was not friendly again. It was rainy day. We stopped in many spots to take a rest. We dropped in the food court to have a meal then continued the trip again. In the night we felt so tired and sleepy so we rode the motorcycle carefully. Alhamdulillah we arrived at 10 p.m. safely. My leg was so tired I took a bath and slept with sweet dream J

This is my incredible journey that is very unforgettable.  I hope that I can take adventure again someday with other friends. You have to try the outdoor travelling because it will be wonderful memories that will be told to many people, it can be told to your children in the future. Now I think what will be the next Mountain destination, I am wondering J
